Bio

Evan Burrus is an experienced multi-instrumentalist working in a variety of styles. While his primary instrument is saxophone, he is also adept on the flute, clarinet, and piano and other keyboard instruments.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Evan attended the prestigious High School for Performing and Visual Arts, after which he attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Following this he worked in as a musician in the cruise industry for a few years before moving to Brooklyn in the summer of 2017.

Burrus is currently a member of the band LINKS, serving as saxophonist, songwriter, and arranger. He also performs as a freelance jazz musician at public and private events in the greater NYC area.
